Rebecca “Becky” Tedder
Rebecca “Becky” Eulene Tedder of Jay FL passed away early Thursday morning at her home in the New York Community with her family by her side holding her hand. She died of complications from late stage pancreatic cancer and she was 56 years old. “Aunt Beck Beck” to some and “Mama Becky” to many, she was an amazing woman who was loved by all who ever met her. She lived for her family. She loved unconditionally and she spread that love freely to everyone around her. She was one of the most giving and loving people you could ever meet. Becky was a loving and devoted wife, she just celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary in January, with her husband Leroy. She was also a very proud, dedicated, and loving mother to her two son’s Jeremie and George and their wives, Amber and Brittany. Her grandchildren were the jewels of her heart. She could show you pictures and tell you stories of her grandchildren for hours and never tired of spending time with them. Everything from coloring to playing cards and watching movies. Becky worked as a CNA for 20 years and she loved the years that she spent helping people. She also worked in the bakery at Winn-Dixie in Pace, FL for a few years before she recently retired due to her medical condition. Overall she loved the years she spent as a CNA and never forgot her patients, even after so many years. Becky was a very rare kind of friend to find. If you were one of those people that was lucky enough to be able to call her your friend, then you had a true friend indeed. She was one of the most loved and loving woman in our area. “Aunt Beck Beck” never forgot a child’s birthday, easter, Christmas, or any holiday for that matter. She always had a card, or a gift, something to make them feel good and put a smile on their face. Se would use her last dollar to make sure a child got something before she would spend it on herself f.She had many adopted children and grandchildren who love her dearly. She was the most unselfish of women, A woman to be admired for her true character .Becky loved her pets, especially her little sidekick, Buddy. She loved to read, do word-puzzle books, and watch movies. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.She loved her family without hesitation and unconditionally. She always held her family together no matter what they faced in life, and she always be loved and missed. Life will never again be the same without her.Becky was preceded in death by her mother Jeanette Colvin and her mother-in-law Agnes Mae Thomas. She is survived by her husband Leroy, her children Jeremie and Amber Tedder, George and Brittany Tedder, her grandchildren Jonathin, Breanna, Preston, Joshua, and Rebecca “RJ”, her father George Colvin, her brother Malcolm Colvin and family, sister Rochelle Forrester and family, sister Rosemary Smith and family, sister Kitty Loper and Family, many nieces and nephews, adopted family members and friends, and her very dear and close friend Beth. A visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2012 from 6-8 at Jay Funeral Home and funeral services held 11AM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Jay Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery. Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
