A Sunday of Soundside Splendor

Tickets are available for Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Eighth Annual “A Sunday of Soundside Splendor” Sunday, April 14, 4 to 7 p.m., at Portofino Island Resort. This beautiful event features a variety of fine wines paired with food prepared by many of our area’s top local chefs. Proceeds support Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) services for abused and neglected children in the western Panhandle.

 

Tim Putman, executive director of CHS Western Division, calls this event the flagship local event for CHS: “The energy and excitement of our Board, sponsors and the community around this event is amazing, and the funds raised are critical to our success in changing the lives of nearly 5,000 people each year.”

In addition to food and wine, guests will enjoy live entertainment fromClarence Bell and the Fellas and special guest artist Mollee Craven. The live and silent auctions will feature more than three dozen packages, including a football autographed by Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, a trip to Taos, NM, a sunset cruise for eight aboard Mike Papantonio’s 85-foot yacht, and dinner with wine and cocktails for 10 at Fred Levin’s “Carriage House.” The live auction will be hosted by Cat Country 98.7 morning show co-host Brent Lane, Pensacola’s 2013 Professional Leader of the Year and the Academy of Country Music’s 2009 Personality of the Year.
