Special Olympics to host Summer Games

Looking for a fun, community event for the whole family?  On March 23rd, 2013 at 9:00AM at Corry Station athletic facilities in Pensacola, Special Olympics Escambia/Santa Rosa will be hosting Area 1 Summer Games, which includes Okaloosa and Walton Counties. Please join us and cheer for our local Special Olympics athletes as they compete in Tennis, Soccer, Bocce, Volleyball, Cycling and Track & Field events. The day will begin with Opening Ceremonies at 9:00AM at the track and will include the lighting of the torch and Color Guard.  The day will continue with individual and group competitions. This is a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand how Special Olympics programs benefit, building life-skills for our athletes and promoting social inclusion. This event is free and open to the public. Come out and be a fan of our Special Olympics athletes!
