(January 5, 1930 – February 27, 2013)
Margaret Huey Carden age 83 a resident of Jay, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was born in Alabama on January 3, 1930. Margaret lived the early part of her life in Marion, Alabama where she married Eugene Joseph Adams and had two daughters, Beverly Jean and Patricia Carol. He passed away in March of 1959. In her later years, she married Herbert Wayne Huey and moved to Milton, Florida where she worked as a director of Daycare for First Baptist Church in Milton, Florida for many years. After the death of her late husband Wayne Huey, in 1992, she moved to Jay, Florida to live near her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Mae Johnson. Margaret is survived by her husband Grady Carden; two daughters, Beverly Field of Pace, FL and Patsy (Michael) Scott of Jay, FL , sister Jessie Mae Adams of Jay, FL; 5 granddaughters, Kelly (Steven) Dee of Omaha, Nebraska, Kara (Alan) Ritchie of Pace, FL., Sunny (Kevin) Ricks of Pace, Fl., Micah Scott of Jay, Fl.,and Ashley (Shane) Buckley of Jay, Fl; 9 great-grandchildren, Andrew and Nikolas Dee, Truitt and Allison Ritchie, McKinley and Tucker Ricks, Mical Owens, Aiden and Easton Buckley; step-daughter, Toni Carden Grissett; 3 step-grandchildren, Candace (Jeff) Lee, Tyler and Skyler Grissett and 2 step great-grandchildren, Breanna and Chloe Lee. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 5:00 pm at Jay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Berrydale Baptist Church with Brother Robert Gandy officiating services. Burial will follow at Berrydale Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Lewie Joe Smith, Tommy Scott, Alan Ritchie, Shane Buckley, Kevin Ricks, and Billy Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Dee, Tyler Grissett, Skyler Grissett, and Jeff Lee. Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
