Jay Softball opens against Pine Forest

Saturday afternoon in Jay was full of softball action.  The lady Royals hosted Pine Forest for games.  The JV started the action by defeating the visiting team.  The Varsity Royals were then ready to open up their season.  The Lady Royals beat Pine Forest  11-1.  Sydney Lowrey struck out 11 batters and allowed 2 walks.  The game ended after the sixth inning.
