Baptist Medical Group Welcome Pediatric Hospitalist Tamika Ussery-Freeman, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Baptist Medical Group is pleased to welcome pediatric hospitalist, Tamika Ussery-Freeman, M.D., F.A.A.P., to their growing physician network and Baptist Hospital’s Mother-Baby Care Team. As a pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Ussery-Freeman will be exclusively dedicated to caring for newborns delivered at Baptist Hospital. She will be responsible for newborn assessment and care, including stabilization.

Dr. Ussery-Freeman is an experienced physician who is board certified in pediatrics. She joins Baptist Medical Group from Cordele, Ga., where she previously served as a full-time general pediatrician. Dr. Ussery-Freeman completed her medical education through Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., and her residency through Mercer University School of Medicine Residency Program in Macon, Ga.
In addition to being a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Ussery-Freeman has extensive physician-leadership experience through her position serving as adjunct professor for pediatric training rotations at Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine and the Medical College of Georgia.
