Lady Jags fall in First Round of District Tournament

The Lady Jags fell in the first round of the District 1 Class 1A Volleyball Tournament Monday afternoon to the Laurel Hill Hobos.  The Jags fought hard but fell in the final game 17-19.  The seniors, Natalie Jernigan and Brittany Forsythe, tried hard to rally the team but were unable to keep the momentum in the fifth game of the match.

On Tuesday, October 23 the Laurel Hill Hobos will face  #1 seed, Baker , at 6pm after the Jay Royals take on the Northview Chiefs at 4 pm.  All games are schedule for the Central School Gym.

Scores were: 21-25 LH; 25-17 C; 25-15 C; 19-25 LH and 17-19 LH.  Stats for the Central players: Natalie Jernigan – 7 Kills, 23 Assists, 21 Digs, and 4 Aces; Brittany Forsythe – 10 Kills, 42 Assists; 5 Digs, and 7 Blocks; Haleigh Padgett – 12 Kills, 8 Assists, 2 Digs, 7 Blocks; Arielle Harris – 14 Kills, 5 Assists, 21 Digs; Adrianne Harris – 4 Aces; Dana Blackman – 9 Aces
