Santa Rosa Kids’ House to Host Third Annual Festival of Trees

Child Advocacy Center Aims to Raise Money to Serve Abused and Neglected Children

Santa Rosa Kids’ House (SRKH) will host its Third Annual Festival of Trees on Friday, November 16th and Saturday, November 17th.  SRKH is located at 5643 Stewart Street, in Milton.  The house will be open to visitors on Friday from 2 PM to 9 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. On Saturday evening at 6:30 PM the Festival of Trees will conclude with a Christmas Celebration to include silent and live auctions of the decorated trees and wreaths. Last year over $25,000 was raised. This year SRKH hopes to raise at least $35,000.

Festival of Trees is Santa Rosa Kids’ House’s biggest fundraising event of the season. The community is encouraged to join us for a tour of the house and view dozens of decorated trees and wreaths donated by local businesses, churches, civic organizations and individuals. The trees and wreaths will be beautifully adorned with different themes; Florida Gators, Alabama – Roll Tide, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Christmas on the Emerald Coast, and a coffee themed tree, just to name a few. On Friday and Saturday Santa will be available for pictures; families can enjoy face painting, cookie decorating activities, Christmas crafts, and hot chocolate.  There will also be a craft fair, “Market Under the Trees,” on Saturday, November 17th from 9 AM to 2 PM on the front lawn. If you are interested in having a booth, please call Adair Cotton at 994-5703. Tickets for house tours to view trees and wreaths are $5 for adults and free for children 12 years of age and under.

The reception and silent auction on Saturday evening will conclude the weekend’s events.  Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. The night will culminate with the closing of the silent auction, and a live auction of a few of our more unique trees and wreaths.  Tickets for the Christmas Celebration are $50 per person. Call the Kids’ House at 623-1112 to purchase tickets for the Christmas Celebration. Ticket sales are limited, so call today!
