Two-County Economic Development Strategy Public Forums Scheduled

Let your voice be heard. The Santa Rosa County Economic Development Office, Greater Pensacola Chamber and economic development consulting firm Chabin Concepts will present a series of public forums on economic development strategy in  Santa Rosa and Escambia counties.

Join Santa Rosa EDO officials and Chabin moderators on Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Santa Rosa Economic Development Office, 6491 Caroline Street in Milton.  On Tuesday, Oct. 23, join the Greater Pensacola Chamber forum from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at New World Landing, 600 S. Palafox Street in Pensacola.

In August, a joint steering committee of the Santa Rosa Economic Development Office and Greater Pensacola Chamber chose Chabin Concepts of Chico, Calif. to draft a three-phase strategic plan to diversify our regional economy. Now, the Chamber and Chabin are looking to the community for ideas regarding the future of our regional economy.

“Chabin Concepts is in the early stages of developing our two-county strategic plan, and their team is eager for input from the residents of Northwest Florida,” says Bob Larkin, chairman of the joint steering committee. “We hope that everyone who is interested in helping the two county area reach its full potential as a community will join us at one of our public forums to share ideas that will shape our future.”

Key topics to be discussed at the forums include the importance of economic development, opportunities for regional growth, and the collaborative efforts of the chamber, the City of Pensacola, Escambia and Santa Rosa County governments to improve economic development performance.

Registration is not required, but seating will be limited. To learn more, please contact the Greater Pensacola Chamber at (850) 438-4081.
