JV Royals Roll over Uriah (Blackshear)
The Jay JV Royals shut Uriah down Tuesday night winning easily 32-0. In the Royals first drive, big runs by Steven Archer and Clint Sheffield advanced the ball deep into Blackshear territory, the Royal’s Victor Mishoe scored the first touchdown then the Royals got the two point conversion. 8-0 Jay. Uriah came back to with a big run but #5, Clint Sheffield for the Royals had a sac to stop the Blackshear drive. Jay received the punt with good field position. Back to back runs by Sheffield put more points on the board for the Royals. The touchdown came from 13 yards out. The two point conversion was good 16-0 Jay.
The Royals had only 27 seconds left in the first half to make something happen. The Royals called on their big play man and were happy with the results. Sheffield gave the Royals their third touchdown on an 80 yard run, the two point conversion was good making it 24-0 at half-time.
Jay extended their lead to 32-0, when Sheffield had another long run for 55 yards. This was a big win for the JV. Congratulations Royals.
Dallon Edwards had a 39 yard run to help the Royals to win the 7th and 8th grade quarter.
