Convenience Store Robbed in Milton

  On 10/09/12 at 0330 hours, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 4141 Avalon Blvd (Tom Thumb) in reference to a hold up alarm.  When deputies arrived, they found that the clerk had been robbed.  The suspect approached on foot from the north side of the building and entered with his face covered, wielding a hammer.  The suspect also had socks on his hands.  The suspect received a small amount of cash and fled the store on foot.  Additional deputies and K-9 arrived in an attempt to locate the suspect; however the search was not successful.  No injuries occurred. No suspects are known at this time.  Anyone with any further information concerning the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 983- 1190, or Santa Rosa Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP (7867).
