Free Mammograms to Area Women

Baptist Health Care is Making a Difference during Breast Health Month
Free Mammograms to Area Women
During the month of October Baptist Health Care will strive to make a difference by offering free mammograms to women in need. Women who live in Escambia or Santa Rosa counties who meet financial requirements may qualify for a free mammogram screening.

For the last four years during the month of October and in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Baptist Health Care has conducted 788 free mammograms for women who qualify. As a result of these screenings, 195 women required and received additional testing. Eight women were diagnosed with breast cancer and began life-saving treatment.

“With the dollars The Baptist Health Care Foundation raises locally, we are able to provide needed care to women right here in our community. We are very thankful to our charitable donors because their support provides us with the resources to continue these life-saving programs,” said Mark Faulkner, CEO of Baptist Health Care. “Our Mission at Baptist Health Care is to improve the quality of life in our community and this initiative helps us do just that.”

Support this lifesaving program by calling the Baptist Health Care Foundation at 850.469.7906 or visitingBHCFoundation.org/Donate.

Baptist Health Care will be scheduling mammograms at four locations throughout the community including Baptist, Gulf Breeze hospitals as well as Baptist Medical Parks Nine Mile and Navarre.
