Three Sneads Teenagers Die in Auto Accident
Three teenagers from Sneads died in a tragic accident Thursday, Sept 6 at 3 in the afternoon. Ted Michael Jeter, 15 the driver of a 1999 Buick LaSabre and his passengers Kristian Bo McClamma, 16 and Christopher Brandon Hobbs, 16 received fatal injuries. Jeter and McClamma were pronounced dead at the scene, Hobbs was transferred to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Jeter was traveling East on Sand Ridge Church Road when he drifted to the right side of the roadway. Jeter over-corrected steering toward the left. He then over-corrected steering toward the right. This action caused the Buick to enter into a side skid leading with the drivers door. The Buick entered onto the south shoulder and impacted a Oak Tree that was located 8 feet south of the roadways edge. The car hit this tree with the Drivers Door and came to rest at impact.
Both the driver and the passengers were wearing seatbelts and no charges are pending.
