Make vvvroom for a Ride

Bikers, beach bunnies and even curious sedan-drivers can enjoy an eye-opening ride to benefit a good cause in an event based at Perdido Key’s Flora-Bama Lounge.

The Mystics of Pleasure Rebel Ride, open to bikers and non-bikers alike, begins with registration and a kickoff party at the Flora-Bama on the evening of Sept. 7.

At 10 a.m. Sept. 8 the group will meet at the Flora-Bama and begin a cruise beside the beaches and along the back roads of adjoining Baldwin County, Ala., before returning to the fabled watering hole in time for, yes, more partying.

The event, which includes food and live entertainment, will raise money for a campaign to increase awareness of breast cancer. The cost is $40 per rider, or $50 for a rider and passenger.

The Mystics of Pleasure, a group based in Orange Beach, Ala., holds several social events each year to raise money for charity.
