2012 Charity Golf Tournament for Special Olympics

Golfers from throughout the region are invited to bring their skills to support our Special Olympics Escambia/Santa Rosa Golf team in their upcoming trip to State competition.  Stonebrook Golf Club in Pace will host this 2012 Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, August 24th with a 1PM shotgun start, for a 4-person scramble.  The entry fee is $100 per player or $400 per team with an entry deadline set for August 15th.  Purchase of Tee Signs is also available for $100 each. Fee includes food & beverages, awards and prizes for longest drive and hole in one, door prizes and goody bags.

All proceeds will go to Special Olympics Escambia/Santa Rosa Golf Team, who have been practicing at Tanglewood Golf Club in Milton and Stonebrook Golf Club in Pace for several years.  The team is very excited that their hard work has paid off in qualifying them to send a delegation to Special Olympics Florida’s State Golf Championship in Kissimmee, FL on September 7th, 2012!

Special Olympics Escambia/Santa Rosa provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their caregiver, as a means to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem, socialization skills, and the life skills necessary to be a productive, respected and contributing members of their communities.
