Whiting Field health clinic returning to its original location following extensive renovation project
After undergoing extensive heating and air conditioning upgrades for over a year, the Naval Branch Health Clinic at Naval Air Station Whiting Field will move medical and dental services back into the main clinic site the day after Labor Day, September 4, 2012.
The move begins midday August 29 and tentatively scheduled to conclude August 31 at 1600. On Wednesday, 29 August, the clinic will maintain normal patient services. On 30 August, the clinic plans to maintain patient appointments at the temporary clinic site. On Friday, 31 August, the clinic plans to maintain patient appointments at the renovated clinic. During the move, clinic personnel will answer patient phone calls, and process requests through “NHP Online” [Relay Health-connected website]. To schedule appointments on 30 and 31 August, patients may call 850-623-7460 or 850-623-7993.
“The relocation period may require limited interruption of some of our medical and dental services,” says NBHC Whiting Field [NBHCWF] Officer-in-Charge, Captain Philip Blaine. “However, the impact on medical services should be minimal. “
Moving pharmacy and laboratory operations may require additional staging; and access to the pharmacy may not be available for a short period of time, the OIC said. As the move precedes the Labor Day Holiday, patrons are advised to plan ahead for all of their new and refill prescription medication needs.
