Pensacola Marathon Announces Host Hotel

Crowne Plaza Pensacola Grand Hotel to Host Expo, Packet Pick-up, and Late Registration 

The Pensacola Marathon is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Crowne Plaza Pensacola Grand Hotel to be the official host hotel for the 2012 Pensacola Marathon.

In addition to offering a great room rate for race participants, the Crowne Plaza will host the event expo, featuring nearly 20 vendors, packet pick-up, and late registration.

“We are excited about our new partnership with the Crowne Plaza and what they can offer to our race participants,” commented Pensacola Marathon Manager Jason Libbert.  “In addition to a beautiful setting for the expo, packet pick-up, and great rooms overlooking Pensacola, our runners will be able to experience Pensacola’s great maritime and naval history throughout the hotel.”

The main lobby of the hotel a fully restored L&N Line Passenger Train Depot from 1912 furnished with period antiques, lighting, clocks, and mosaic tile flooring.  Throughout the hotel and conference center, historic photos of Pensacola can be viewed on the walls, giving guests a look back to the early years of Pensacola.  Current amenities include gift shops, an outdoor pool, 24-hour Fitness Center, 1912 The Restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and the Cavu Bar and Lounge which features United States Navy and Blue Angel memorabilia.
