Center Helps Homeless

A lot of people are just 2 or 3 paychecks away from homelessness. It can happen to anyone. Whether from the economy, physical problems,  family problems. No one is exempt and it happens more and more each day in this country.
The Alfred-Washburn Center is located in Pensacola on Murphy Street which is across the street from Pensacola Christian College on Brent Lane.  The center is a ministry of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul serving the homeless and poorer members of our community. The Center is funded by the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores and Conferences, private and corporate donations.
The Washburn Center is a 100% volunteer organization. The only qualification for volunteers is a desire to serve the least of our brothers and sisters.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 -“in as much as Ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, Ye have done it unto me.

The Center provides food, clothing and showers and laundry facilities for the homeless.  Homeless and poorer members of our community are welcomed and services are provided free of charge for any who come to the Center. All are welcome!
Donations are always welcomed. Please consider giving to this wonderful facility. See their website at Alfredwashburn.org or send donations directly to The Alfred Washburn Center, 31 Murphy Lane, Pensacola, Fl 32505.
