Local Wounded Marine Returns Home To Milton

Cpl. Joseph Daniel Palmer, a 2004 graduate of Central High School returns home Friday, July 27th.  There will be a welcome home ceremony at the Pensacola Aviation located at 4145 Jerry L. Maygarden Rd. behind the airport for Cpl. Palmer, his wife, Becky and their children.  For those of you unable to greet the Palmer Family at Pensacola Aviation @ 11 a.m. Friday, July 27th, a motorcade  will leave approximately 11:30 a.m. and they will travel Highway 90; turn left on Dogwood; turn left on Berryhill and turn into the Whiting Pines Entrance.

Palmer enlisted in the US Marines in 2008 and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010.  He was injured in a  roadside bomb there and has been undergoing extensive rehabilitation in North Carolina.

If you are a business along this route, you are encouraged to welcome them home on your signs or come out and wave.  Those interested are also encouraged to line the entrance to Whiting Pines and the surrounding area on Berryhill.
