Cummings Held Without Bond with Second DUI
State Attorney Bill Eddins announced today that Circuit Judge Marci Goodman revoked the bond of Debi Mari Cummings, the 19 year old Gulf Breeze woman charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Injuries and DUI, following Cummings’ new arrest for DUI Wednesday morning in Gulf Breeze.
Cummings was first arrested on May 20th after she struck a cyclist during the early morning hours and left the scene. After further investigation revealed that Cummings was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, the State Attorney’s Office added a charge of DUI. Cummings had been released on bond until her arrest Wednesday by Gulf Breeze Police who stopped her for speeding and found her to be under the influence of alcohol. Cummings had a blood alcohol level of .15, nearly twice the legal limit. She will be held without bond in the Santa Rosa County Jail. Her next court appearance on the charges stemming from her May 20th arrest will be on October 8th at 9:00 a.m.
