Irvin Ray Dixon

Irvin Ray Dixon was born on September 3, 1934 in Munson, Florida. He went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2012, after living his long and courageous life. He lived most of his life in Berrydale, Florida. He enjoyed his life and never met a stranger. He loved to fish and camp. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Dixon; son, Willie Miller and one daughter, Cindy Moore; parents, Effie and Ollie Dixon and 12 brothers and sisters. He is survived by 5 daughters and one son and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous friends. The family wishes to say a special thank you to his long friend, Tina Sangster for always being there and never leaving his side. The family would also like to thank Dr. Kelley and his staff, covenant hospice and his nurse, Tracy Blackmon. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Jay Funeral Home with Brother Chad Diamond and Brother Dennis Watson officiating services. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Robert Weaver, Jeremy Nolan, Don Wheelis, Kenny Kelso, Eddie Nelson, and Josh Holland. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Barnhill, Jerry Campbell, and J.B. Jackson. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Jay Funeral Home to help with the burial. Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
