Sawmill Band to Perform at Evenings in Olde Seville
The Evenings in Olde Seville Square summer concert series is in its 27th season. On Thursday, July 12 the Sawmill Band will be performing. The band plays an wide range of classic and contemporary country and gospel.
The 2012 series features concerts, satisfying musical tastes from big band to jazz and from Broadway to modern dance each Thursday from 7 to 9:15 p.m., in historic Seville Square in downtown Pensacola. Since 1988, these music-filled evenings have become a tradition, recreating the popular concerts held in the city’s park at the turn of the 19th century.
When attending concerts, bring a lawn chair or a blanket for seating. Also, bring your appetite! Located on Alcaniz Street, concession stands also offer sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, sausage, snacks and the “Evening’s” famous freshly popped popcorn as well as frozen desserts, soft drinks and bottled water.
