Salter’s Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary
Roy and Jeannie met on a blind date; for which neither one remembers what they did, but it was a blind date set and along with Roy’s cousin and close friend William “Melvin” Woodall.
Roy is a retired barber of 48 years; all here in Milton. Jeannie currently works in the garden section of Home Depot in Pace; where she has worked for the past 14+ years.
They have resided in Santa Rosa County their entire married life. She graduated from Escambia High School and Roy graduated from Chumuckla High School.
They have 3 children Sonia Huffman from Elizabethtown, NC, Mark Salter, Milton and Dennis Salter. They have 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Their anniversary is July 1st, but the family surprised them with a celebration of their 50th anniversary Saturday, June 30th at Red Barn BBQ restaurant in Milton. The couple had a wonderful turn out of 55 people…. friends and family.
