Blackwater Rocked on Friday

Bands on the Blackwater concert series rocked the local crowd with the Cross Town Band keeping the group entertained with classic rock, Friday night. The free concert series is sponsored by the City of Milton, Soft Rock 94.1, and WXBM 102.7.   The Cross Town Band performed  then around 8pm the  lighted boat parade began.  Hundreds gathered Friday night to enjoy a  beautiful evening on the Blackwater River,  the weather was perfect, both  friends and families gathered to picnic and enjoy the free concert.  Click for the photo gallery below :

Cross Town Band

Named for the band members’ hair color, Touch of Gray will be performing on June 22nd. The band will play songs from the 60s, 70s and other top hits. Band members include Bill Pope, lead guitar/lead vocal; Russ Poyner, bassist/vocal; David Frantz, guitar/lead vocal; and Will Nowling, drums. The City of Milton will be selling hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and sodas.  Make your plans to attend now. Be sure to bring your chair or blanket. The City of Milton encourages you to “Enjoy live music, alongside the Blackwater River, in the comfort of your lawn chair or in the convenience of your boat! ”  Food & beverages will be available for purchase and your personal coolers are permitted.
