Summer School Classes Available at JHS

The SRC School District is providing several summer school programs for academics this year. Summer school begins June 18- July 23 with exception of July 4th week.  It is held Monday through Thursday from 8:30-12:30.  Central Students will be coming to Jay High for these programs.

(1) Algebra I Remediation for those students that did not obtain passing scores on the Algebra I EOC exam this spring will be able to attend Alg. I remediation with a certified math teacher and use an online remedial course to prepare to retest on July 23, 2012 at Jay High School.   The Algebra I EOC retake exam will be July 23 at 8:30, students must register with us to take this test.

(2) Credit recovery courses offered through the online COMPASS program will be offered Monday-Thursday from 8:30-12:30 from  June 18- August 2, 2012 allowing students to recover credit in core courses.  Also computer access is available from 1-3 for those unable to attend in the morning session.

(3) Courses may also be taken through Florida Virtual School  for acceleration or grade forgiveness and the schedule is the same as credit recovery.

(4) The last program is the PERT remediation course which is 2 weeks June 18-29.  The PERT test will be given at Jay High for those students who register and take the remedial program.  This is for those students who did not obtain the PERT or ACT score for college level coursework.
