Tails Never Fails- Jay Wins, Jay Wins!!!

The Lady Royals are about to get underway in the Semi-Final game at Clermont, Florida against the Port St. Joe Sharks and as team captain Tessa Hendricks says, “Tails never Fails”  the Lady Royals are the home team..

Lady Royals are taking the field. the score is 0-3.  With the Sharks up in the top of the first. With two outs Tessa Hendricks comes to bat and hits a home run.   At the end of one score 1-3.

Top of second inining: no runs, one hit – 1-3  Bottom of the second with three errors for Port St. Joe and a stand up double for Oliva Wright Jay is tied 3-3; Ashlyn Geck has a big 2 out single and brought Oliva home then Tessa Hendricks follows with a single to score Ashlyn and after two the score is 5-3 Jay.

Top of the third inning: 2 runs scored on one hit and an error score 5-5; bottom of the inning nothing doing score 5-5.

Top of the sixth: no hits, no runs, no errors 3up 3 down score still 5-5;

Top of the fourth: 3 up and 3 down score 5- 5; bottom of the inning  no runs; score stays 5-5;

Top of the fifth: with a big tag at third base on a pass ball the Sharks go 3 up and 3 down; Jay leaves 2 runners on the bags, no runs scored tied 5-5 after 5 innings.

At the bottom of the sixth:  Olivia singles, Ashlyn bunted her to second, Tessa walked, Becca hit an infield fly – the Port St. Joe player muffed the play, Olivia and Tessa were able to score off the error; score 7-5 Jay
