Plane Crashes in Chumuckla
A small engine plane crashed in Chumuckla on Monday, April 30 around 3:20 pm. According to witnesses the small plane took off, encountered problems, lost power, and the pilot had to attempt a hard landing. The landing strip is located near 10 mile and Skyhawk Road. As the plane touched down is started to spin, then flipped, and caught on fire. The pilot was able to escape with no injuries. The plane was a single seat recreational.
Allentown, Pace and Whiting Field fire departments responded to the crash.
