JES Supports Relay for Life -updates with new photos
Jay Elementary students, under the leadership of the PTO and school personnel, took laps during their regularly scheduled PE time, Friday, to honor area cancer victims. The activity was the cumulative event of money raising activities the kids participated in during the past year for Jay’s Relay for Life.

Austin Ashworth not only helped to raise money for cancer research, but he gave $50 of his own birthday money in honor of his grandfather, Ronald Joe Ashworth, who passed away only a few short weeks ago, on March 1. His crew cut hair has grown out following the shaving of his head to show solidarity with his grandfather following treatment.

I am so proud of Austin. He has such a caring, compassionate heart. I know his Pawpaw is very proud of him, as well. Happy Birthday in Heaven, Ronald Joe.
