Brandon Bostic Returns Home to Perform at Opry

Brandon Bostic returns to the area to perform  at the Chumucka Opry during the White Sands Festival April 19-21, 2012.  Brandon a 2007 graduate of Pace High is currently playing with Blue Moon Rising.  He is attending Middle Tennessee State University and majoring in Marketing. Blue Moon Rising will perform Thursday, April 19 at 3:30pm and 7:40 pm and again on Friday, April 20 at 2:30 pm and 6 pm.

Brandon has been playing since 2002.  He has been with Blue Moon Rising since December of 2010. “I’ve always admired the band and their music, so it’s kind of like a dream come true to be sharing the stage with these guys!” said Brandon about the band.

Brandon  writes music, but not as much as he would like to. The band’s latest album included one song that he wrote, and it looks like he is going to have three co-writes on our upcoming album (available next Spring).  He hopes to  sneak one or two that his has written into the set lists for Chumuckla!

The best thing Brandon like  about the music that he makes with Blue Moon Rising is that it feels honest and real. “More often than not, people who don’t listen to bluegrass music can have a hard time relating to the songs (Mostly, because they’re about cabins in the hills, killing your betrothed, or trains…  I feel like the subject matter in the songs that we play really reaches out to people”, said Brandon.
