Jay Boys Tennis Rolls To 6th Straight Win

The Jay High Boys Tennis Team defeated TR Miller Friday night for their 6th straight win.   Coach Melvin Kersey said, ” I am more impressed each meet with the team, they continue to develop, they are getting more consistent, and making better shots. ”  The girls were not as fortunate and lost the meet 0-7.

The boys won the meet 5-2.  Evan Goodson, 8-0; Eric Travino, 8-3l; Cody Paramore, 8-1; Justice Garcia, 5-8; Dylan Wolfe, 6-8; Doubles: Evan/Eric, 8-3; Cody/Justice, 8-5.

The girls stats: Emily Russell, 6-8; Sarah Whitehead, 1-8; Carly Owens, 0-8; Kathryn English, 0-8; Doubles: Emily and Allison Russell, 1-8; Sarah and Carly, 4-8.
