2012 Pensacola Marathon to Feature Registration Fee Reimbursement Insurance
Registration is Now Open On-line
The Pensacola Sports Association is pleased to announce a partnership with 365Competitors, LLC for the 8th Annual Pensacola Marathon taking place at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Pensacola, Florida which will feature Registration Fee Reimbursement Insurance. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 11, 2012.
“As a destination race, we realize the runners make some large investments in choosing to come to Pensacola to run either the half or full marathon,” commented event director Jason Libbert. “We feel this is one way we can standout above other marathons in the event a participant gets ill and cannot make the race. We’re looking forward to our partnership with 365Competitors as it brings another level of customer service to our event.”
The 8 th Annual Pensacola Marathon combines Veteran’s Day weekend activities, historic Pensacola, sugary white sandy beaches, and a route atop the bluffs overlooking Escambia Bay for an overall incredible race experience.
The race begins at Veteran’s Memorial Park on the bay front then winds its way along a 13.1 mile circuit of the city for the half marathoners and a full 26.2 loop for the full marathon. The course features leads participants through historic neighborhoods, the downtown district, past featured bands and cheering supporters. The finish line is back in Veteran’s Memorial Park next to the only replica of the National Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Pensacola Marathon is also a Boston Qualifier for athletes still needing to qualify. November in Pensacola provides great weather for a race where temperatures average 60 degrees.
