Royals Tennis Team Defeats TR Miller
The Jay High Boys Tennis team defeated T R Miller 5-2 in Tuesday’s meet. “I am very please with the performance” , stated Coach Melvin Kersey. The team has worked hard and suffered some defeat, but their work is starting to pay off. Today, Justice Garcia, “tapped into his potential, even though he fell 7-9 he discovered what he can accomplish”, reflected Kersey.
The girls were unable to get ahead of the Tigers and went down 1-6 at the meet. “There is a lot of potential on the team here at Jay, as they continue to practice they will become more consistent”, remarked Coach Kersey.
The team will face Milton at home on Thursday at 3pm. ” This will be an opportunity to see where the team is at, we hope to be more competitive than in the first match up”, said Kersey. Come out and enjoy the afternoon.
