Milton Man Arrested After Search Warrant Reveals Meth Lab and Napalm

On March 1, 2012 at 1436 hours, the Santa Rosa County Narcotics Unit arrived at 5356 Anthony Avenue, Milton, FL, to serve a search warrant on the residence of Seth Stanley.  Narcotics detectives received credible intelligence that Stanley was producing methamphetamine at that residence. When detectives went to the front door, Stanley answered  and was placed in handcuffs and detained. During a search of Stanley, detectives located a plastic bag and a glass vial in Stanley’s left front pocket that contained  methamphetamine. Stanley was read  Miranda Rights and he stated he understood his rights. Stanley was questioned by detectives about a large quantity of purchases of pseudo-ephedrine between January 2011 until February 2012.  Stanley admitted to detectives that he was making methamphetamine to help medicate himself and agreed to show detectives where everything was located. Stanley directed detectives to a storage shed and pointed out a compartment where a “one-pot” jug (commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine) was located and other items related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Detectives located the following items  inside the storage shed: (2) one pot cook jugs,(which are vessels used to combine pseudo-ephedrine, ammonia nitrate fertilizer, lithium metal and a solvent used in the clandestine manufacturing of methamphetamine). (5) Hydrogen Chloride (HCL) gas generators, (1) mason jar with a bi-layer liquid which Stanley stated was acetone that he used to clean his methamphetamine, Coleman fuel, ammonia nitrate fertilizer, drain cleaner, numerous empty mason jars along with a mason jar that contained a gas like substance that Stanley stated was homemade napalm. Stanley did not give a reason for his possessing the Napalm. Also located in the shed was vent hood used to exhaust fumes that Stanley said he used in the process of gassing out the methamphetamine.  117 grams of methamphetamine oil was located inside the shed.  Numerous firearms, to include rifles and handguns, along with a large amount of ammunition were also located inside Stanley’s residence. Stanley told investigators that he is a scientist. Detectives found documentation inside his residence verifying this, however his workplace is not being disclosed at this time.

Seth Stanley was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of felony narcotic equipment, producing methamphetamine, possession of listed chemicals and trafficking in methamphetamine. He was booked at the Santa Rosa County Jail on a $45,000.00 bond.  Stanley posted bond shortly after 2200 hours.
