Lady Jags Lose to Bethlehem
Thursday night, March 1 the Lady Jags found themselves short to Bethlehem in a district loss 5-4. The Lady Jags had a controversial call in the sixth that went in favor of Bethlehem. The play at first was determined that the runner for Bethlehem was out at first base. Then the umpires conferred and decided that first baseman “was thought to have pulled her foot” . The Lady Jags tried to get a rally going in the bottom of the seventh and had the tying run on third but was unable to bring her home.
Lacee Stewart pitched all 7 innings giving up 6 hits and having 2 K’s. Hitting for the Lady Jaguars: Taylor Mitchell 2-4; Ryian Stull 1/4 , triple and 2 RBI’s; Sarah Forsythe 1/4 , RBI and a Stolen Base; The team had 4 errors.
The Central Lady Jags are 1-1 in the district. Their next game will be Monday at Popular Springs at 3pm.
