Jay JV Lady Royals Take 2 from the Lady Jags

The Junior Varsity Lady Royals defeated the Lady Jags in a double header Thursday, at Central.  In the first game Jay won 9-5.  Destiny Herring was the winning pitcher giving up 4 Earned Runs, 2 Hits and having 9 Strike Outs.  Taylor Moore went 2 for 3 and Harley Tagert was 2 for 2.  For the Lady Jaguars Haliegh Gauthier had a triple and Alaina Morrow had 5 Strike Outs.  Head Coach for the Lady Royals, Jacob Jordan said, “the girls played hard, they really hit the ball better today.”  Jacob is assisted on the field by Assistant Coach, Brian Moye.

In the second game of the Double Header the Royals won 14-4.  Harley Tagert was the winning pitcher with 7 Strike Outs, giving up 2 Earned Runs and 5 hits.  Hitting for the Royals were: Destiny Herring 3 for 3 with 2 Singles, Double and 3 Runs; Morgan Kelley 3 for 4 with 2 Singles, Double and 3 Runs; Miranda Roberts 2/3 with a Single, Double and 1 Run.   Lacee Stewart pitched for the Lady Jags, she had 10 Strike Outs.  Three of the Lady Jags had triples and went in to score on errors made by the Lady Royals, they were:  Kianna Dykes, Haley Holland, and Kaleigh Moore.  Head Coach for the JV Lady Jags is Daniel Baxley, Daniel is assisted by Mandy Holland and Nikki Golden.  The coaches at Central expressed that, ” the girls we have are a young team, we are focusing on the fundamentals,  the girls have heart, they really encourage each other to do their best.”
