Gary Schaff of Florida, passed away February 14, 2012 unexpectedly at his home in Baker, Florida. Gary is survived by Kathy, his loving and devoted wife of over 40 years; his cherished daughters, Sharon (David) Summers and Suezan (Steve) Arms and his beloved grandchildren, Megan and Emily Summers and Leo, Logan and Luna Arms. Gary is also survived by his father, Edward Schaff; sisters Gail (John) Mulvaney; Sandy (Jimmy) Lafountain and Jackie Schaff; his nemesis, Karol (Eric) Beatty; nephew Jacy (Margie) and his niece Kimberly Mulvaney and several other relatives in New York and North Carolina. Gary had a wonderful sense of humor, was a great story-teller and loved to travel on his Harley-Davidson, Caressa. He could build and fix anything and spent many hours working on projects he loved. His passing has left our family in a state of despair. He will be missed dearly for his stubborn attitude that drove him in life and his soft heart that loved each and every one of us. The father that challenged us, the brother that teased us, the Opa that taught us how to play checkers, the uncle who taught us about life, the man who shared our lives and loved us, the love of my life. We love you, you will be in our hearts forever. Opa, you’re the best! Private services will be held. Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
