Suspect Sought in Convenience Store Robbery
Sheriffs Office Investigating Convenience Store Robbery in East Milton
Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect that committed an armed robbery of a local convenience store. On 2/12/2012 at 2120 hours, deputies with theSanta RosaCounty Sheriffs Office were dispatched to 8981 Highway 87 South (Shell Food Mart),Milton,FLin reference to a robbery. When deputies arrived, they spoke with the clerk and found that the suspect had already fled from the scene. The clerk stated that the suspect entered the store and pointed a black handgun at her and stated “Give me all your money”. The clerk told the suspect, “No… I’m pushing the button”. The clerk then activated the hold-up alarm at which time the suspect fled from the store without receiving any money. When the suspect fled, he ran north from the scene. It is not known if he had a vehicle close by, or he lives near the area. Responding deputies and K-9 attempted a track but were not successful in locating the suspect. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’00”, late 20’s to early 30’s, wearing a military style camouflage jacket, dark sunglasses, red bandana on his face, and black gloves. Anyone with information concerning the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Santa Rosa Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP (7867) or Detective Jones at 850-983-1242. Information provided through Crime Stoppers that leads to the arrest of the suspect may result in a cash reward of up to $1000.00.
