Sheriffs Office Investigating Stabbing in East Milton

On 2/14/2012 at 1415 hours, deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriffs Office were dispatched to9149 Alton Court,Milton,FLin reference to a stabbing.  When deputies arrived, they found that the victim (Justin Lee Gentry, 28 years old, 8600 block ofBaxter Rd,Milton,FL) had been stabbed three times in the back.  Witnesses at the home stated that an unidentified suspect had come to the door asking to speak with a person who was not present in the house.  The suspect then entered the home and at some point became involved in a physical altercation with the victim.  Witnesses stated that it appeared that the suspect was punching the victim in the back during the altercation. The suspect fled from the residence on foot after the altercation. The witnesses then saw blood on the victims clothing and realized that the victim had been stabbed.  The victim was taken by ambulance toSacredHeartHospitalfor treatment.  Once there, medical personnel found that his injuries were not life threatening.  The victim was stabbed twice in the left shoulder and once in the back of the neck.  The victim was treated and released on the night of 2/14/2012.  The incident is still under investigation.

The suspect is known only as “Zak”, and is described as a white male, 18-20 years old, approximately 6’00”, thin, short brown hair, last seen wearing a long sleeved black shirt and dark colored pants.
