Raymond Melvin to speak at Jay Historical Meeting

 Jay Historical Society meeting on February 9th  at 6 pm at the Jay City Hall. The  great speaker will be Mr. Raymond Melvin.  He is a lifetime resident of Santa Rosa County and his ancestors have a great history of the timber and turpentine industry.  He has a replica of a turpine still and many, many artifacts from a lifetime collection.  He is a good speaker and he really knows the history and old stories of the turpentine industry. His presentation will be good for students as well as adults. Bring the kids or grandkids.  Be sure to come early and enjoy some refreshments.
