898,131 Minutes Read by Santa Rosa County Students
Santa Rosa County participated in the Million Minute Marathon sponsored by the Florida Department of Education. They joined other Florida schools on Monday, January 23, 2012 for the Million Minute Marathon with a new goal of 20 MILLION minutes. The book used for this year’s Million Minute Marathon was: “How Much is a Million?” by David M. Schwartz, pictures by Steven Kellogg.
The students in Santa Rosa County read a grand total of 898,131 minutes on Monday morning Jan. 23, 2012 .
