Jay Royals defeat PCA

Jay High Royals hosted the PCA Warriors Thursday night, January 19, 2012 and maintained their lead to the end winning 53-50.  Coach Youngblood said, “We played solid for three good quarters. Our challenge lies ahead tomorrow at Baker.”  The scoring per quarter was 7-2; 23-14; 43-23 and 53-50.  Todd Laney led the Royals with 15 points, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds.

Scoring for the Royals: Todd Laney – 15 points, 5 asssists, 7 rebounds; Dalton Edwards -13 points; Tate Upton -9 points; Eric Travino -7 points and 5 steals; Tyler Prescott -6 points and 7 rebounds; and Brandon Boutwell -2 points.

The Junior Varsity lost the game at the buzzer 44-45.  Scoring for the Royals were: Taylor Kelley – 12 points; Marshall Thomas -11 points; Victor Mishoe -8 points; Tom-Tom Fischer – 6 points; Holden McCaskill – 4 points; Dakota Cassidy -1 point.
