Dobson/Brown run in Disney Marathon

Two North Santa Rosa natives are running in the Disney Marathon, on Sunday, January 8, 2011 at 6:30 am.  Matthew Dobson, a graduate of Jay High School and  Abby Brown, a graduate of Central High School.  We look forward to tracking the success of both runners.

Matt Dobson, a past winner of the marathon is also a community leader in the Jay area.  Matt is pastor at New Bethel Baptist Church, a recent columnist for NorthSantaRosa.com (Living with Purpose) and a personal  trainer.  He is active in all aspects of the sport of running. Matt heads up the annual Jay Fourth of July 5K.  He also volunteers at the local schools to help with races, both to organize and encourage other runners.

Abby Brown is a young women recently getting involved in running.  She works for Running Wild in Pensacola and has participated in several marathons placing in the top ten for her age group.
