Motorcyclist Hit on First Day of the Year
Anthony Mendonza was seriously injured on January 1, 2012 when a truck driven by Advil Stacey pulled into his path at 3:40 pm.
The Chevrolet truck was traveling South on Airport Rd. and the Suzuki motorcycle driven by Mendonza was traveling East on US 90. The Chevrolet truck driven by Stacey- V1 entered the intersection into the path of the Suzuki motorcycle-V2. The Suzuki motorcycle’s struck the Chevrolet truck in the right side.
Mr. Stacey had minor injuries and was treated at Santa Rosa Medical. Mr. Mendonza was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital with serious injuries.
Mr. Stacey was cited for careless driving.
