Katherine Seymour Raney, 83, a primary resident of Edmond, OK, a winter resident of Key West, FL, and formerly of Jonesboro, AR, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Oklahoma City, OK, surrounded by her loving family.Her loving husband, Dr. Bascom Raney, preceded her in death.She is survived by her son, Craig Seymour; her daughter, Kathy Seymour Stewart (Tom); her grandchildren: Sara Cook (Jeb), Jon Stewart, and Justin Seymour – of Oklahoma; Abby and Gloria Raney of Jay, FL; her extended family: Dr. Lance and Shirley Raney of Jay, FL; Neil Raney, Sara Howell (David), and Sloan Raney, of Arkansas.
Katherine was a loving and warm-hearted person who touched the lives of all those she encountered in this life, thus she also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2011, at New Covenant United Methodist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Katherine’s name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation , The Foundation for AIDS Research or to the charity of your choosing.
