SRC Sheriff’s Office-Chumuckla Redneck Parade Traffic Issues

CHUMUCKLA REDNECK PARADE TRAFFIC ISSUES: PLEASE READ

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office has been working closely with the organizers of the Chumuckla Redneck Parade that will be held on Saturday, December 10th, 2011. Traffic is expected to be better this year, but we are asking for the public’s help in getting there early! This year, the parade route was extended to accommodate more cars. The parade will start at the cotton gin on Chumuckla Springs / Gin Road & end across Chumuckla Hwy at Salter Road. The Parade staging will be on Chumuckla Springs Road north of the Cotton Gin.

THE SHERIFFS OFFICE IS ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC TO AVOID THE PARADE AREA (CHUMUCKLA CROSSROADS) BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10AM and 5PM IF THEY ARE NOT ATTENDING THE PARADE. EXPECT DELAYS AND PLEASE PLAN ALTERNATE ROUTES TO HELP US AVOID CONGESTION IN THE AREA. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COOPERATION!
