Central Posts Wins against Rival Jay Royals
Central Jaguars were able to post wins in both the JV and Varsity games Friday night against rival team the Jay Royals. The Jaguars won 52-39 after being tied 19 all at half.
Scoring for the Jaguars: Zac Wright -14, Nick Waters -13, Victor Dixon -10, Gavin Richardson -10, and Wendall Cooley -3. ?-2.
Scoring for the Royals: Todd Laney – 20, Tyler Prescott -8, Eric Trevino -7, and Brandon Boutwell -4. Stats: Tyler Prescott – 8 Rebounds and Eric Trevino – 4 Steals.
The Junior Varsity Jaguars defeated the Royals 34-25. Central carried the lead throughout the game although the Royals were able to outscore the Jags in the second half.
Scoring for the Jags were: Justin Abel -16, Jesse Jernigan -9, James Ward -3, Nolan Frady -3, Shai Jackson -2 and Brad Moye -1.
Scoring for the Royals were: Victor Mishoe -9, Justice Garcia – 5, Taylor Kelly -4, Austin Sapp -3, A. Cobb -2 and M. Thomas -2.
