“Steel Magnolias” Auditions

All are invited  to audition for the hit play “Steel Magnolias” presented by Panhandle Community Theatre and directed by Candy Culberson. The audition dates are December 6 & 7, 7:00 p.m., 4646 Woodbine Road – Pace (Storage Masters Center). This will be a very fun show to be in! It was also a hit movie starring Sally Field, Julia Roberts and Dolly Parton, among others.

Here is what we are looking for: Seeking: 6 females;Truvy Jones – age 30-45, owner of beauty shop;  Annell Dupuy-Desoto – age 17-25, beauty shop assistant;  Clariee Belcher – age 55-75, widow, Grande dam;  Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie – age 20-30, prettiest girl in town;  Ouiser Boudreaux – age 55-75, wealthy curmudgeon, acerbic but loveable; and  M’Lynn Eatenton – age 50ish, mother of Shelby.

Directions to the theatre:   (from Pensacola) Take Scenic Hwy. or Davis Hwy. north until they merge. Continue towards Pace over Causeway, take first left onto Woodbine Rd. (@McDonald’s). Go one mile, theatre on right.  (from Milton) Take Hwy. 90 west through Pace. Turn right onto Woodbine Rd. (@McDonald’s). Go one mile, theatre on right. (from Chumuckla/Jay) Take Hwy 197 south at 5 points continue on Woodbine Rd.  go 2.6 miles, theatre on left.
All are welcome to come and audition; experienced and non-experienced actors invited!

Show dates are February 16-18 & 22-25.   Panhandle Community Theatre is a non-profit organization.
