Man and Woman Arrested on Meth Related Charges after Deputies Locate Meth Lab During Warrant Attempt

On 11/07/11, shortly after 10PM, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to 9081 John Hamm Road, Milton, Fl in an attempt to locate a fugitive wanted for meth related charges. Deputies made contact with two occupants inside the home; Heather Raybon and William Hindall. Raybon and Hindall consented for deputies entering the residence to verify that the wanted fugitive (Brian Mauldin) was not present. When deputies entered, they immediately noticed a strong chemical smell consistent with the presence of a methamphetamine lab. They also located drug paraphernalia in plain view. Deputies immediately evacuated the residence along with Hindall and Raybon. Narcotics Detectives responded and entered the residence wearing protective equipment. Once inside, they immediately noticed materials and ingredients used to produce methamphetamine. They also located 13 grams of methamphetamine powder and 32 grams of methamphetamine oil. Detectives found an active “one pot” methamphetamine lab located in the bedroom, at which time the fire department was summoned due to the threat of fire or explosion. The “one pot” lab was safely neutralized and removed from the residence by detectives. Also, a small metal pill bottle was located in Raybon’s purse in which the contents tested positive for methamphetamine.
Based on all of the evidence that was found, Hindall and Raybon were arrested on the below mentioned charges and are each currently being held on a $35,000.00 bond.
Raybon has multiple past arrests involving methamphetamine related charges in Santa Rosa County. Raybon also suffered severe and disfiguring burns during a fire that occurred on December 16, 2004 in Milton, FL. Due to the injuries and past intelligence, Investigators believe that Raybon’s burns were consistent with being associated with a meth lab explosion; however Raybon was cooperative with investigators as to how the injuries occurred.
