Jay Jr. High splits with W.S. Neal

The Jay Jr. High Teams split with W. S. Neal in basketball action Wednesday afternoon.

The Girls won in overtime.  The game was very physical with good defense on both ends of the court resulting in a low scoring game.  The Royals had the lead 10-5 at the half but the Eagles came back and tied the score 13 all.  During overtime  Jay went on to score the solo point on a free throw by Carissa Mulford bringing the final score to 14-13.  Scoring for Jay in the win were: Destiny Herring – 6, Briston Campbell – 5, Emily Ashworth – 2, and Carissa Mulford -1.

The Boys team was unable to stop the Eagles and lost 41-21.  Scoring for the Royals were: Dakota Cassady – 7, Victor Mishoe – 5, Jay Carnley – 5, Steven Archer – 3, and Josh Cobb – 1.
