The Women’s Place at Santa Rosa Medical Center to Host Delegation of International Leaders of Breast Cancer Research and Treatment
Milton, FL— October 14, 2011 – Santa Rosa Medical Center is proud to announce that it will host an international delegation sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, The International Visitor Leadership Project (IVLP). The group will visit on Thursday, October 20 from 11:30 am until 1 pm. The delegation will tour The Women’s Place at Santa Rosa Medical Center, and meet with administration and staff to learn more about the approach taken at The Women’s Place to detect breast cancer and help women through the treatment process. The International Visitor Leadership Project (IVLP) aims to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries through carefully designed visits that reflect the participants’ professional interests and support U.S. foreign policy goals. The focus of this delegation is breast cancer awareness and outreach, and is designed for medical professionals involved in women’s breast cancer treatment and prevention initiatives. Locally the group is being sponsored by The Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council.
